Ei Nei— A Hawaiian music trio composed of Dane Fujiwara (Wailuku), Grant Kono (Oneawa), and Ekolu Chang (Kāneʻohe). Formed in 2016 after each artist had established individual musical paths, Ei Nei quickly gained recognition for their smooth vocal blend, rich harmonies, and deep grounding in mele Hawaiʻi. In 2020, they were awarded the Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award for Most Promising Artist and have since earned multiple nominations. Their music has been featured in film, television, and an Emmy Award–winning documentary. Rooted in tradition while looking forward, Ei Nei offers a thoughtful and contemporary voice in Hawaiian music.

Jerry Santos&Kamuela — Jerry Santos, legendary singer and songwriter of the iconic group Olomana, has shaped Hawaiian music for over five decades. A Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame inductee, his timeless compositions, including Kuʻu Home O Kahaluʻu, remain pillars of contemporary mele Hawaiʻi. He received an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Hawaiʻi in 2024 for his enduring cultural impact.
He is joined by Kamuela Kimokeo, an accomplished musician and educator who began performing professionally at age 14. A Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winner, Kimokeo has toured internationally and recorded on Grammy-nominated projects. He currently directs the Hawaiʻi Music Institute at Windward Community College.Together, they represent a living bridge between tradition, mentorship, and the future of Hawaiian music.

The Vitals— Formed in 2013, The Vitals are a Hawaiʻi-based reggae collective known for their strong vocal blend and collaborative spirit. With core members Keahi Piiohia, Cyd Kamakea, Ata Boy Rosa, Brandon Berinobis, and Asaiah “The Maad King” Scott, the band broke out with their 2014 hit Fake Lover and has since released multiple EPs and a full-length album. Their music blends reggae roots with local storytelling, highlighted by collaborations with Lion Fiyah, Bo Napoleon, and members of Kapu System. In celebration of their 10-year anniversary, The Vitals released Kali Ana Au, a Hawaiian-language adaptation of Bob Marley’s Waiting in Vain, earning widespread acclaim. The band continues to create original music that resonates with their community and fans worldwide.

Every last Saturday in June, July and August of 2026, join our emcee Kimo Kahoʻāno on Waimea Valley’s Main Lawn (June & July) and Upper Medow (August) for an afternoon of Hawaiian mele and hula. Bring your dance moves, your aloha spirit, and your friends and family.
