Waimea Valley’s Moonwalk is Back!
Join us on a special evening in the Valley under the moonlight! Immerse yourself in the unique sights, sounds, and scents of Waimea Valley as you enjoy ʻike (knowledge) sharing, exploring Kauhale on a cultural tour, and end the walk at the waterfall.

Yes. Moon Walk is popular, and tickets are limited. A limited number of tickets may be available on the evening of the event, while supplies last.

Tickets are available online or in person at the Visitor Center before the event. On event nights, tickets are available at the ticket booth until 8:30 PM, subject to availability.

Check-in begins at 8:00 PM. Please arrive 15–30 minutes early, as the ticket booth closes promptly at 8:30 PM. If you'd like dinner before the event, the Wahi ʻĀina Snack Bar opens at 6:30 PM.

Yes. The Wahi ʻĀina Snack Bar is open from 6:30 PM–8:30 PM for food and drinks before the event.

The evening begins with a cultural welcome and overview. Guests will then enter in small groups with a staff member before exploring the main paved pathway at their own pace.

The walk is self-guided, with staff available throughout the evening. Cultural presentations at Kauhale and other special activities may be available depending on the event date.

No. Food, drinks, and beverage containers are not permitted beyond the ticket booth. Water fountains and vending machines are available.

No. Swimming is not available during the Moon Walk.

Yes. Please keep lights pointed toward the ground and avoid shining them at guests or cultural sites.

The walk to Waimea Falls is approximately ¾ mile on a paved pathway.

Waimea Valley is a wahi pana (storied and sacred place). The welcome shares the significance of the Valley and helps guests enjoy the experience respectfully.

The waterfall closes at 9:45 PM, and all guests must exit by 10:00 PM.

Yes. Members receive one complimentary Moon Walk admission per member for one selected event date.
