Honoring His Majesty King William Charles Lunalilo, born January 31, 1835, a beloved leader known as the ‘People’s King.’ Elected by the voice of the people in 1873, he composed Hawai‘i’s first national anthem.
He left his estate to care for kūpuna and Hawaiians in need, establishing Lunalilo Homes. His leadership reflected compassion, fairness, and devotion to the Kingdom. Celebrate his legacy and dedication to Hawai‘i’s people.
