Earth Day with Us!
Join us on Earth Day, Saturday, April 25, for a volunteer workday celebrating and caring for the gardens and natural beauty of Waimea Valley! Pick your prefer worksite and come mālama ʻāina with us. Mahalo to our sponsor, Geotech Solutions, Inc. for supporting this event.
Event Timeline
7:00am-8:00am: Vendor check in @ Visitor Center Red Curb
8:30am: Volunteer arrival and check in @ Visitor Center White Tents
9:00 am: Waimea Valley is open to the public, community & vendor booths open
9:00am: Welcome of volunteers and overview of the day at Main Lawn
9:15am: Volunteers break into groups and walk to mālama ‘āina worksite. Mauka volunteers will be hiking up to our conservation worksite.
11:30 am: Worksite projects end.
11:45 am: Volunteers gather at Upper Meadow and visit booths at sustainability village
12:00-1:00 pm: Lunch/Guest Speakers/Giveaways
12:30 pm- 1:30 pm: Hālau hula performance
2:00 pm: Event ends
What to Bring
Reusable water bottle (required)
Closed-toe shoes (sturdy, comfortable)
Sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses)
Light rain jacket (weather-dependent)
Gloves (if you prefer your own)
Positive attitude & willingness to mālama ʻāina!
What to Wear
Comfortable outdoor work clothes
Long pants recommended
Clothing you don’t mind getting dirty

All ages welcome.
Follow your team lead’s instructions at worksites.
Stay hydrated.
Respect the land, plants, and fellow volunteers.
Practice aloha ʻāina in all interactions.
