Arbor Day

Join us at Waimea Valley as we celebrate Arbor Day in Hawai‘i—a statewide event dedicated to planting and nurturing trees that sustain our islands ecosystems and preserving Hawai‘i’s natural heritage for future generations.

What to expect:

  • Waimea Valley will be giving away 200 trees for FREE on a first-come, first-served basis. (One free tree per family)

  • The Arbor Day giveaway will run alongside our weekly Plant Sale, featuring a variety of native Hawaiian plants for purchase starting at $20

Location: Parking Lot 3/Pu`ukua lot

Featured giveaway tree varieties include:

  • Cacao (Theobroma cacao)

  • Tahitian Lime (Citrus latifolia)

  • Meyer Lemon (Citrus meyer)

  • A‘ali‘i (Dodonaea viscosa)

  • Kou (Cordia subcordata)

  • Mgambo Tree (Majidea zangueberica)

  • Milo (Thespesia populnea)

  • Soursop (Annona muricata)

  • Cut Nut (Barringtonia edulis)

  • Hibiscus (Ruth Wilcox)
